Where’s your Holiday Spirit?
Danish Researchers have pinpointed the locations in our brains where, and if, sugar plums dance. According to the British Medical Journal, presence of a ‘Christmas Spirit’ when exposed to holiday related images will show increased cerebral activity. As well, a deficiency in the ‘Christmas Spirit’, referred to as the ‘bah humbug syndrome’ can be found in millions of people who have experienced many years of celebrating Christmas. Read more.

A Healthier Holiday Treat
When you can’t resist delicious holiday treats but you don’t want to pile on the refined sugars, here is a recipe that can indulge your sweet tooth and give you some antioxidants while you enjoy!
Dark Chocolate Bites
– 8 oz. dark chocolate bar
– Mixed dried fruits & nuts (blueberries, goji berries, almonds, etc.)
Cut the dark chocolate bar into pieces and melt in a microwave safe glass container until chocolate is completed melted. Using a spoon, scoop the melted chocolate onto wax paper and sprinkle the fruit & nut mix on top of the chocolate. Allow to cool or rush cooling by placing into the refrigerator. Share and enjoy!
