Traumatic Brain Injury

Recovery from Traumatic Brain Injury is often unpredictable. Treatments must be individualized for the unique nervous system of each patient. Rehabilitation is most successful with a strategic plan that takes a holistic approach to the patient’s condition.

A Chiropractic Neurologist will use comprehensive testing to identify the weaknesses and imbalances within the nervous system. During treatment for TBI, the doctor will work to restore neuroplasticity to the injured areas of the brain.

Like any muscle, the brain responds to exercise. A Chiropractic Neurologist is trained to stimulate the nervous system using light, sound, joint manipulation, or exercise and other non-invasive methods. This stimulation has the effect of exercise on the brain, helping to restore healthy function.

Some conditions of the brain and nervous system do not respond well to aggressive treatments such as drug therapy or surgery. Because of differing treatment approaches, certain conditions may respond more favorably from the non-invasisve approach of a Chiropractic Neurologist.

  • Patient Testimonials

I don’t think I’ve ever had a doctor spend so much time with me. Testing, explaining, testing some more … and really helped me learn ‘how’ my nerves can affect things like breathing, headaches, and even eye sight. I am still seeing Dr. Groves as well as Dr. Kim … and drive 30 miles to get there. — Wendy Jo
