Who we are!
Chiropractic Neurology Center is owned and operated by Dr. Shad Groves, DC, DACNB, QME and Dr. Karin Kim, DC. The doors of the center were opened on October 2, 2000. Since this time they have treated almost 4000 patients! Dr. Groves is highly regarded in the field of Chiropractic Neurology. He has and continues to lecture around the world as well as the US. Currently there are less than 300 Board Certified Chiropractic Neurologists worldwide.
What we do!
We provide Chiropractic Neurology treatment as appropriate to our patients. Chiropractic Neurology is an alternative form of specialized care that uses non-invasive methods of treatment to relieve symptoms and conditions which a patient may be experiencing.
Chiropractic neurology methods are safe and effective in treating an array conditions and symptoms including but not limited to the following:
- Vertigo
- ADHD
- Headache
- Chronic Pain
- Numbness and Tingling
- Stroke and Head Injuries
- Wellness / Preventative Care
After an initial exam to determine a diagnosis and the best treatment for you, our doctor may choose one of several treatment methods as seen below:
- Manual Adjustment
- Activator – Instrument used for adjusting sensitive areas or by preference of patient
- Eye Exercises
- Sensory stimulation by use of light, sound, smell, and/ or touch
- Therapeutic exercises which may include spinal stabilization or specific sensory or motor pathway
- stimulation
- Coordination and balance activities
- Spinal Decompression
- Vestibular platform testing and exercise
- In addition to many other available treatment options
For those patients who prefer not to have their spines “cracked,” Chiropractic Neurology is extremely effective in able to care for them by stimulating neuronal pathways without any force into the spine.

Together Dr. Kim and Dr. Groves have formed a partnership to bring quality individualized health care to the greater Los Angeles / Long Beach area. Their desire is not only to take care of patients, but also to educate them about how their bodies work and how to better respond to life’s stress’ as well as how our patients can make a difference in maintaining a high level of well-being through chiropractic neurology.
