What CNC may evaluate
- Location and pattern of musculoskeletal pain or stiffness
- Posture, gait, pelvic and hip mechanics, and movement tolerance
- Spinal and joint tenderness or restricted motion
- Neurological findings when numbness, tingling, or weakness is reported
- Pregnancy-specific warning signs that require contact with the prenatal care team
How care is approached
When conservative care is appropriate, techniques are modified for comfort, stage of pregnancy, health history, and examination findings. Care may include gentle manual or instrument-assisted adjustment, soft-tissue or massage approaches, movement and positioning guidance, and individualized exercises. CNC does not claim that chiropractic treatment can induce labor, reposition a fetus, or treat obstetric complications.
Care should fit within the prenatal plan
A conservative pregnancy-care approach emphasizes communication with the patient’s obstetric or prenatal provider when there are medical concerns or restrictions. Because pregnancy-related back and pelvic pain can also reflect conditions that need medical evaluation, new or severe symptoms are screened before hands-on treatment is considered.
